The first word that comes to mind when you see this gorgeous doll is WOW. This gorgeous doll measures a 30 inches tall! She will for sure be the star of your collection! She is the prettiest Kestner doll I have ever seen in my years of doll collecting. Her eyes are so dreamy. Please scroll down and read her full description. Her lovely bisque head is in incredible condition and honestly in my opinion looks like it was just removed from it's original box. She's marked on the back of her head Made In Germany 16 171. And marked 6 1/2 on bottom of neck. Her lovely face only has a couple very small spots near her chin. There is also a light scratch on her neck but this it is so light. She is missing her human hair eyelashes. Inside her mouth behind her teeth you will notice what looks to be a black spot...
But it is not it is actually a hole in the red backing of her mouth. It's not super noticeable with her teeth being there but is noticeable if you're looking for it.
Her wig is mohair I believe and it's original but it is lightly thinning and it sheds. I suggest her new owner buys her a hairnet to keep in looking pretty for years to come.
Her hair ribbon is not original that was added by me. She has very nicely painted eyebrows. Her head is a very heavy bisque head.I believe her eyes have not been touched and her original Kestner plaster head plate has not ever been removed. Her right eyes sinks in a little but maybe this could be lined up but if not it's not terribly noticeable. This doll is so original and still has her original Kestner jointed composition body that's marked on the back of her torso Germany 6 1/2. Her body is in overall very nice condition but the doll will have to be restrung. Her arms will also have to be restrung. When moving her she's given me a few scares because of how loose her joints are. Someone a very long time ago tried to restring her using sewing elastic. Her left arm has a large chip taken out of the composition near her elbow.
She also has another large chip taken out of her composition on her right leg where it connects to the torso. Some small chipping / cracking to feet and fingers.
All of her composition fingers are present. All her joints will work fine once she's restrung.
Due to the doll having a plastered on head plate I will be unable to pack tissue in head to prevent damage to eyes but I can wrap her head very well with bubble wrap. I understand this is scary but her head plate is really on her head and I'd fear that I may damage the bisque trying to remove it.
Please see all pictures using the zoom feature before purchasing / making an offer. I'd be happy to send interested buyers more pictures and I'd also be happy to answer any questions you have. Please though feel free to send in a offer especially if you love this girl as much as I do!
She will be packed with care for her journey to her new home. She's a lovely doll and needs a good loving home.
