SIMON & HALBIG, Mold 1249. Antique German Bisque Head Doll S&H 1249 Santa. She is an impressive 26 tall and so pretty. Gorgeous doll commissioned by Hamburger and Company from Simon & Halbig around 1910.
She has dark brown glass sleep eyes, finely painted upper and lower lashes, mohair lashes, feathered brows, an open mouth with 4 upper teeth, blushed cheeks and a dimple in her chin. Her wig is an auburn human hair wig made in France, it is labeled.
Fully marked on the back of her head. Her composition body is in very good condition for the age with no repaint and only minor wear at the joints. It has the red stamp "Germany" and size 5 1/2 on h er bottom see pic.Wearing a drop-waist dress with lots of lace trim, a beautifully made slip and pantaloons, black stockings and old black oil cloth shoes.
